Worldwide Day of Play

The Worldwide Day of play was the perfect day to unplug, and tune in. Just for a while, attendees took a break to get outside and move together, play together … really be together. All children, ages 0-100+ were welcome.

The Worldwide Day of Play is an annual event based on the campaign designed by Nickelodeon to encourage children and parents to turn off the television, get off the couch, and go outside and play.

True to the theme of the campaign, Peterson AFB friends and families, played with gusto, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, September 28, in Patriot Park, located on the north side of the Youth Center.

The smiles were non-stop for the bounce houses, zip line, rock climbing wall, Nerf Warz, an art show, a variety of games, and amazingly cool fun. The event was free, with food for purchase.
