Worldwide Day of Play

Let’s turn the TV off for a while. Let’s leave our cell phones behind. Let’s just use the day to get outside and move together, play together … really be together.

Worldwide Day of Play is an annual event designed by Nickelodeon to encourage children and parents to turn off the television and play, especially outdoors.

Here at Peterson AFB, we’ll be playing and having fun outdoors from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, September 28, in Patriot Park, located on the north side of the Youth Center.

We’ll have bounce houses, ziplining, a rock climbing wall, Nerf Warz, an evolving art show, a variety of games, and lots and lots of cool fun.  The event is free, but there will be food for purchase.

How old do you have to be to go to Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play?  We welcome ages 0-100+.  You’re all invited. So get up. Get out. Go play!

For more information, call the RP Lee Youth Center at 719-556-7220.
