Peterson’s Library celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, March 2. What a fun party we had!
Our Seussebration Celebration began with special guests reading Dr. Seuss stories aloud. For example, the Chick-fil A cow read “Green Eggs and Ham.” (Of course, a cow can read!)
Ernie the Eagle flew in from the USO to hand out treats to the children. He “read” a Dr. Seuss book with the help of his escort.
Attendees enjoyed light refreshments, coloring sheets and played Spin-the-Wheel to win prizes. Click here for the flier.
Ernie the Eagle, courtesy of the USO, “read” a Dr. Seuss book in celebration of Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Well, eagles can’t really read, but they do love books … especially about eagles. For more information about this or future events, call the Library at 719-556-7462.
We appreciate our sponsors and our partner, the USO!*
