Celebrate PATRIOT FEST, a groove-filled event of song and dance and laughter and play celebrating this resilient country and the people we call Americans.
The event starts 3 p.m. Saturday, September 9, in Patriot Park, located on the north side of the Youth Center. The event is free and open to all eligible users of Peterson AFB and their guests. Bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets and be ready to enjoy a spectacular day. Click here for the flier.
The Festival Village opens at 3 p.m. offering the following:
- local food trucks and breweries
- face painting,
- a balloon artist,
- horseback rides,
- a kayak pool,
- a climbing wall,
- Xbox One gaming stations,
- bouncy obstacle courses,
- human Foosball,
- foam pit,
- Blizzard and Boo (a gentle, trained, registered Texas longhorn steer and its handler),

The live music starts at 5 p.m. and features three dynamic groups.
The duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson are a force to be reckoned with in the modern day Country music landscape. They’ve topped the charts with Number 1 hits, “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not,” “If I Didn’t Have You,” and “Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About.”
The duo was honored as both the ACM and CMA “Vocal Duo of the Year” in 2012, and secured the ACM Award for “Vocal Duo of the Year” again in 2013. They’ve also appeared on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, CBS This Morning.
