April is Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month

“Protecting Our People Protects Our Mission”

April is recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) across the country by both the civilian and military communities. It is an opportunity to highlight robust efforts to care for victims and innovative ways we are working to infuse prevention practices into our daily mission.

  • “Protecting Our People … ” Each of us has a role in ensuring the men and women around us can life and work free from threat of sexual violence.
  • ” … Protects Our Mission”  In addition to the devastating impact on an individual, a sexual asault can severely impact a unit’s readiness to perform its mission.

The Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month Walk-A-Lap has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 13, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the track behind the Fitness Center. The SAPR team will be on the track from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. for anyone who would like to participate but can’t make the scheduled time. Click here for the event flier.
