2017 Air Force Photo Contest

Hey, Shutterbug! Peruse your stock of photographs and see if one stands out. Go ahead. Enter it in the 2017 Air Force Photo Contest. The theme is Travel Destinations.

A destination is a special place that remains in your memory long after you’ve visited. It can be a beach in Greece, the summit of Mount Everest, or your grandmother’s front porch.

ELIGIBILITY – Authorized patrons of Air Force Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs (IAW AFI 34-101).

CATEGORIES – Photo contest is open to eligible adults and children ages 6-17.

ADULT DIVISIONS (age 18 and older)

  • Novice – Individuals who are new or inexperienced in the art of photography.
  • Accomplished – Individuals who have higher levels of photography skills obtained through experience, training or as a professional photographer.

YOUTH DIVISIONS

  • Teens (age 13-17)
  • Pre-Teens (age 9-12)
  • Children (age 6-8)

PRIZES – Amazon gift cards will be awarded to the top three winners in each category.

  • 1st Place – $300
  • 2nd Place – $200
  • 3rd Place – $100

JUDGING – All judges’ decisions are final.

SUBMISSIONS – Accepted May 1-31, 2017.

  • Participants can enter up to two original images that adhere to the theme.
  • Only online entries will be eligible.
  • File must be: JPEG or JPG format; original camera photo; file size must be between 3MB – 8MB.
