FAQ

WINTER ADVENTURE DAY EVENT CHECK-IN:

There will be a Hospitality area with several small pop-up tents at the base of Gunbarrell Run.

The Hospitality area will have hot water, hot chocolate, ramen soup, granola bars, information about program meet-ups, and information about the event’s sponsors. Plus, you’ll find maps of the ski resort and information about the adventures you signed up for.

Outdoor Recreation staff will be located in and around the Hospitality area throughout the duration of Winter Adventure Day.

FOOD, LUNCH, REFRESHMENTS:

You are welcome to bring your own sack lunch, snacks and beverages.  It’s a great way to save a few dollars on the mountain.  Enjoy a tailgate lunch or warm up inside the charter buses.  Please, no glass containers on the buses.

If you bring your own lunch, we ask that you, please, do not eat your sack lunch inside the lodge unless you are purchasing a lunch from a Monarch food vendor.

Monarch has a great selection of food and drink options that we encourage you to try out.  Visit https://skimonarch.com/dining/ to see food vendors and their menus.

FAQ, MISC INFO:

Q – Can I sign up for multiple activities

A – Yes! Our intent for the day is for you to experience as many new winter activities as you have energy for. Important note – Please be aware of each of your activities time commitment to ensure you do not overlap programs. Be sure to give yourself enough time to travel to each activity.

Q – For those of us who are new to a winter day outside on the ski slopes, do you have any recommendations for what we should wear?

A – Visit https://skimonarch.com/mountain-safety/ and then select “Equipment” for a good list of recommended items.  You’ll see information on base layers, outer layers, sun protection, and more.  Remember to dress for your activity.

Q – Will I have access to Monarch’s restaurants, shops, warming hut, etc.?

A – Yes, you are welcome to use all areas and services that Monarch has to offer.  Reminder:  If taking a sack lunch, please do not take up tables inside.  We ask that those tables be saved for paying food customers.  You are welcome to utilize our buses or have a tailgate lunch Monarch style!

Q – If I drive up, can I bring my dog(s)?

A – According to Monarch, “During operating hours, dogs are only allowed in the parking lot.  They must be leashed and attended.  They are not allowed on the mountain or in the base facilities.” No animals allowed on charter transportation to/from base.

Q – Will there be a medical tent?

A – Monarch Mountain Ski Patrol is on site for medical issues.
