Family Festival & Concert: Moved to The Club

[Because the Friday forecast included the probability of a rainstorm, the event, usually held in Patriot Park, was moved indoors.]

The Family Festival & Concert was held from 4-7 p.m. Fri., Aug. 5, at The Club, Bldg. 1013. It was held in conjunction with the Deployed Families Dinner.

Several hundred attendees enjoyed FREE food — Street Tacos, beans, rice and a selection of accompaniments — live music, and kids activities.

The live tunes of the 6035 Rock Band energized a dance party with conga lines and flying beach balls (Thank you, Ent!).

The info fair, supported by our on- and off-base helping agencies, provided newcomers to Peterson AFB a variety of helpful resources. The event was the perfect occasion for families to socialize, relax, and have fun.

In partnership with the USO, the Colorado Rapids hosted an information table at the event where the Peterson community met Edson the Eagle, mascot for the Colorado Rapids.
