Now is the season. Rent a garden plot at the Community Garden, operated by Outdoor Recreation.
Location: Fenced area behind Airman’s Attic on Selfridge Street, across from the Youth Center.
Garden Size: Twenty garden plots, each is 4′ x 8′
Rental Fee: $25 covers one year usage, from March 1 of this year until March 1 of next year.
What’s Included: Access to water spigots, use of hoses, 5-gallon bucket of hand tools, use of a pull cart to transport any plants and soil enhancements (organic only) to your garden plot.

Sign up at Outdoor Rec for a date and topic of your choice. Some topics we have heard interest in include the following:
- companion plants
- pest management
- hail protection
- pollinators
- plants for beginners
- weed management
- kids and gardening
- canning
- or … come up with your own suggestion.
Classes are free to teach and free for CG members to attend; $5 for all other to attend.
