Successful course completion required participation in classroom and skills demonstration. Some practice sessions require physical activity. Please wear comfortable clothing and avoid wearing dangling jewelry or jewelry with sharp edges. All Girls: Since most girls are wearing low-rise jeans, please wear a long top or a jacket to wrap around your midriff. Please wear a long shirt, as you will be bending over a lot, and we may have teen boys participating. Long Hair: Please wear hair up or bring a pony tail holder.
If you have a medical condition or disability, or if your have any questions regarding your ability to participate fully in this course, ask your parents or guardians to discuss this with yur physician or healthcare provider and the appropriate person at the local Red Cross chapter before you start the course.

The School Age Program will provide full day care for youth who attend D-49 for Fall Break on October 9-13 and 16-20. We will have field trips, 4-H programming, swimming, bowling, arts and crafts, karate lessons and guest visitors. Call 719-556-7220 for details.

The Michael Phelps im Swim Program has five different “bubbles” which create a multifaceted program of water-safety lessons, health and wellness education, as well as goal-setting instruction.
