AIR FORCE YOUTH 2017 AVIATION & SPACE CAMPS
The Air Force Services Activity Child and Youth Programs offers exciting summer camps for 2017:
- Teen Aviation Camp, June 24 – 30 at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This fantastic camp is for teens who are currently in their freshman or sophomore year in high school. The program and tours will help participants determine if aviation or the Air Force is a career choice right for them. Applications must be received by Friday, May 5, 2017. - Space Camp, July 30 – August 4 at the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. You choose: Walk on the moon. Design and build robotics. Participate in aerial combat missions. Fly pilot simulations. SCUBA dive in your underwater astronaut trainer. All are out of this world! Applications must be received by Thursday, May 18, 2017. Click here for complete information.

Wednesday, March 29 – 4H, A Quilt of Valor Workshop, 12-4 p.m.
Thursday, March 30 – Middle School Field Trip to Skate City, 4-6:30 p.m.
Bootcamp at the Youth Center
Workouts range from circuits to group runs for ages 9-11 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursdays in the Youth Center gymnasium. Each session starts with a lesson, such as nutrition info and demonstrations, followed by a full workout. It’s free!
Babysitting Class & Advanced Babysitting Class – Saturday, March 11
Advanced Babysitting Class (basic plus CPR), $45, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The class is open to ages 11 and older. There will be a one-hour lunch break. You can bring your own brown bag lunch and beverage or purchase something from the snack bar (available during Open Recreation). A minimum of four students are required to hold a class. MICHAEL PHELPS im SWIM PROGRAM

The Michael Phelps im Swim Program has five different “bubbles” which create a multifaceted program of water-safety lessons, health and wellness education, as well as goal-setting instruction.
