Extended Care Program

The FCC Program plays a significant role in supporting the mission readiness of military and civilian personnel. One of the hallmarks of the FCC Program is the ability to tailor care to the unique needs of the children and their families.

The Extended Care Program assists military families working extended hours by increasing the hours of care available in FCC homes. This program provides services beyond the standard 50 hours of care that families are already purchasing in child care program on or off base. The program offers care in FCC homes beyond the standard 10-hour child care day or five-day work week.

The program provides care that is more accessible to military members as they perform their mission during a contingency or high OPS tempo operations. It is designed to help a family that needs more care because they have to work longer hours, evenings, weekends, and/or are experiencing a temporary shift change.

Parents should contact the Family Child Care coordinator at 719-556-4322 for more information and to enroll in the program.

Here’s what our customers are saying about our programs and our people –

My husband and I are joint military reservists.  With a monthly weekend schedule that requires both parents to work the same time, the Air Force Family Child Care Extended Child Care (AF FCC ECC) program has provided an amazing quality of life aspect to our family.  We were afforded a peace of mind in knowing that our son was in a safe environment with a caring provider.  The program was efficient and easy to work with year after year.  We’ve had our son going to Reserve weekend day care for several years and have never had a complaint about the quality, process, and program in all those years.  The quality of care is phenomenal and our son always enjoyed his time away from home.  The paperwork was easy enough to work with and we were always given enough time/heads up to ensure the paperwork was completed within the appropriate time frames.  We can’t thank Janet M. and Irene P. (Trina before that) enough for always being so pleasant to partner with and for treating our son as if he was one of their own.

This program is vital to the success of a Reserve family!  We are so grateful that we were able to utilize the services for so many years!  Thank you!
