Monarch Mountain is a local favorite  … popular with the whole family.  We can’t wait to ski and ‘board at Monarch and other resorts because of their exciting terrain, wonderful snow and special memories.

NOTE:  This trip is designed for beginner backcountry skiers, but, due to the nature of backcountry skiing and snowboarding, you should not sign up for this trip unless you are able to comfortably ski or ride a black diamond on the resort.

Get off the resort and spend a day skiing and riding your own personal powder, big lines, and tranquil trees in the backcountry.

This one day trip geared toward beginner backcountry users will teach you the basics of using modern backcountry touring equipment and avalanche safety gear.

It’s also a great way to get some perspective on how to stay safe and have fun, deep in the mountains, away from the chairlifts.

Your guide will take you to the best snow around, and show you the benefits to earning your turns in the Rockies! These trips are for intermediate to advanced level resort skiers and riders, and folks who are cardio fit.
