Employment Assistance
The Airman & Family Readiness Center supports customers in achieving short- and long-term employment, education and training, and career goals through employment skills counseling, resources for self-employment, small business and entrepreneurial efforts. We offer labor market information, employment trend tracking, skills development workshops, job referrals, networks to local employers, and on- and off-base resources.

Unemployment Compensation
In Colorado, Military Spouses are entitled to file for Unemployment Insurance (UI) as a result of leaving employment due to PCS orders.

Unemployment compensation may be available for the spouse of a newly assigned military member or civilian employee. For more information contact the Colorado Department of Labor and Workforce

Unemployment Insurance: file your claim online or call 1-800-388-5515 or visit the following website. Claim questions: 1-800-999-9933.

Have the following information when you file or make your call:

  • Your social security number
  • Alien permit number if not a citizen
  • Last employers name, address, and date employed
  • If you worked outside of Colorado you need names, addresses , and dates employed for all  employer you worked for during the past 18 months.
  • If you were in the military or worked for the federal government, please have such forms as DD- 214,  SF-8 and SF-50.

If filing for unemployment, you must be registered at the Connecting Colorado website.”
