The way I see it, you can either work for a living or you can fly airplanes. Me, I’d rather fly.
— Len Morgan
Have you ever dreamed of one day flying a plane? Well, maybe your ”one day” is today.
The Rocky Mountain USAF Flight Training Center (aka, the Aero Club) will offer a Private Pilot Ground School from 6-8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays beginning May 8, in Hangar 133 on the flight line (Hamilton Ave.).
This is the FAA mandated 35-hour, eight-week preparatory course for your FAA Private Pilot written examination. The cost is $570, which includes all of the course materials, books and everything you need to start the flying portion of the course, except a headset, which we rent for $2/flight until you purchase your own.
The flying portion of the course is pay-as-you-go and generally takes about three to four months to complete.
The total cost to achieve your FAA Private Pilot’s License – the ground school and flying portion combined - is between $5,500 and $6,500 depending on you.
For more information, call the Aero Club at (719) 556-4310 or stop by Hangar 133.
