Extended Care Program

The FCC Program plays a significant role in supporting the mission readiness of military and civilian personnel. One of the hallmarks of the FCC Program is the ability to tailor care to the unique needs of the children and their families. The Extended Care Program assists military families working extended hours by increasing the hours of care available in FCC homes. This program provides services beyond the standard 50 hours of care that families are already purchasing in child care program on or off base. The program offers care in FCC homes beyond the standard 10-hour child care day or 5-day work week.

The program provides care that is more accessible to military members as they perform their mission during a contingency or high OPS tempo operations. It is designed to help a family that needs more care because they have to work longer hours, evenings, weekends, and/or are experiencing a temporary shift change.

Parents should contact the Family Child Care coordinator at 556-4322 for more information and to enroll in the program.
