Club Happenings

Air Force Club Membership Scholarship Program
Every spring, contestants write an essay on a specified topic and submit their package to manager of The Club at Peterson AFB by a designated date. This Club Membership Scholarship Program is a benefit of club membership and is open to current Air Force Club members and their family members. Wine Fest
We offer a bit of casino magic at our wine tasting event and even stake you with some chips (the non-edible kind) so you can try your luck at roulette, blackjack and craps. You’ll luck out with the wines. They’re superb. Sip a variety of reds and whites, enjoy plenty of savory food, and dance to live music.

Bingo Bonanza
A variety of games including progressives and a new jackpot game worth $3,000! Bar and food menus available.
Date: Mondays (moved to Tuesday if Monday is a holiday)

Breakfast with Santa
Kids get to meet the Man. You know – tall guy, red suit, white beard, and black boots. Event includes breakfast, balloon artist, magician, cookie decorating, photos with Santa, and more. A must-do for the holiday season.

Hog Wild Night
Motorcycle madness gone wild! Enjoy a thunderous motorcycle convoy ride onto base, safety briefings, live music, information fair, and prizes for best chrome, paint, custom, stock and overall crowd favorite. The nasty menu will include exotic game such as alligator, wild boar, rattlesnake, venison and more.
Date: Mid-July

Home Brew Fest
Our Home Brew Fest has been drawing a remarkable 300+ entries – some as far away as North Carolina! We’re not sure who enjoys it more – the judges who sample each and every brew or the guests who get to focus on their favorite suds.
In this annual event, home brew aficionados compete in different BJCP categories along with local and regional micro-breweries. Categories may be combined based on the number of entries at the discretion of the event organizer. All entries are judged, and prizes are awarded in each category.
Sample great suds, learn about home brewing, and enjoy good food and live music by the Big Horn Band. The first 250 guests receive a commemorative beer glass.

Kids Night Out
An exciting event for children held occasionally. Different themes – Sponge Bob, Shrek, Star Wars, Pirates and Princesses, Halloween, and others – offer kids a chance to dress up, play imaginative games, eat unusual themed buffets, win prizes, and go home feeling special.

Live Maine Lobster Night
A savory 1 1/4 pound lobster from Maine served with your choice of baked potato or rice pilaf, vegetable medley, salad bar, and freshly baked rolls.
Date: Usually held once a month on a Friday night

Price range: $24.95, $21.95 members

New Year’s Eve Gala
Stand on the threshold between the old and the new. Celebrate in fine style with exquisite cuisine, live music, dancing … and then a champagne toast, breakfast and maybe one last dance.

Stripes Pub
Sure, Stripes Pub is a place. But it’s a HAPPENING place! Watch sports and specially televised sporting events like the Ultimate Fighting Challenge. Play games on its Wii system. Or shoot a game of pool. The pub menu offers a nice alternative to lunch and evening dining. And for your discriminating palate, Stripes offers a selection of 130 exotic beers from all over the world. Relax and play.

Sunday Brunch
Offering delicious entrees, seasonal vegetables and fruits, breakfast favorites, an omelet station, abundant desserts and lots more.

Superbowl Party – Stripes Pub & The Main Lounge
Sports lovers can watch the Super Bowl from the comfort of Stripes Pub or the Main Lounge on any one of our 14 big screen TVs – and enjoy a spectacular tailgate party of savory foods. At half time, if you are still hungry, you can fill up on our finger-lickin’ junk food buffet. Super drink specials! Super door prizes!
