Child Care Tip for March
Raising a Thankful Child
- Look for ways to be involved in the community with your child, such as collecting canned foods for a local food pantry or hats and mittens for a local children’s program.
- Show thankfulness to your children. Be a positive role model and thank your child when he or she is helpful, listens to your requests or shows kindness to others.
- Prompt children to use their “magic words” – please and thank you.
- Read books about what it means to be thankful.
