There exists a strong correlation between a military member’s ability to accomplish the mission successfully and the quality of his/her family experience. Because of this, Airman & Family Readiness Center offers activities to promote a healthy family life.
We also have informational books and printed material on a variety of topics regarding family life issues.

Classes/Training
Training is available on a variety of topics for organizational or individual needs. Courses include Key Spouse and True Colors. Additional classes can be tailored for individual unit needs.
Events
Adoption Information Fair – Sponsored by the four military installations in the Pikes Peak region. Connects military families with community adoption agencies.
Heart Link – Hosts a quarterly Heart Link Spouse Orientation program designed to assist new spouses gain a better understanding of the Air Force culture.
Operation Purple Camp – Sponsored by the National Military Family Association in conjunction with Peterson AFB and the YMCA in the Pikes Peak region.
The Southeast YMCA in conjunction with the four military installations in the Pikes Peak region offers the following annual events: Father Daughter Dance, Military Spouse Appreciation Day Event, Stars & Stripes Golf Tournament, Military Mother Son Event, Military Family First Dinner, Annual Joe Henjum Celebration Breakfast, Breakfast with Santa.
